There´s a quad remesher in blender natively, in it´s Object properties tab, you have the quadriflow remesher with some options, voxel or other type of remeshing, it can sometimes yield some good effects with a certain polyflow, but it´s not good enough. So for the future of endless possibilities assuming there is a future, my 12 point vote goes to a native GPU solution, able to recognize current volume items with it´s fractals, and no need for a messy licensing installation.Ĭlick to expand.sounds like a strange question, what would be the point if it couldn´t? quad remesher doing it´s thing, only to live in quad remesher? Octane for my cloud generations by volumetric items and loading the files I have created before, would probably not be possible since it seems not able to use Rman collection fractals. Octane for lightwave could be nice to test with the VDB files, though not sure how much of speed difference there will be with only one core support.

I may try again for Lightwave though, but if it´s equally messy with the ´s down the trashcan of potentional software to try out.

So no free octane for blender test, until they get that sh.together. even though Lino Grandi offfered to help, but at that time I was so fed up with how the licensing worked I just didn´t have the patience to bother anymore, and didn´t pick up on his offer unfortunately.

I had a very old install in blender at some time, but it crashed during some imports, then a new version came out, I was trying to install it several times, it failed, I contacted their support and they tried to help out, didn´t work out anyway, it´s their horrible licensing system through their website that didn´t recognize my license or installlement, I gave up on it.
